The Northern Nigeria Students Forum (GAMJI) is the
strongest youth movement in Nigeria that has her members cutting across
the nineteen (19) Northern States including the F.C.T in our country
basically to protect the interest of the north in all ramification and
to keep alive the dreams of our late heroes and heroines like Sir
Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Sir Ahmadu Bello (Sardauna), Queen Amina of
Zaria, Hajiya Laila Dogon Yaro, Hajiya Gambo Sawaba and others whose
activism was noble, which started from student unionism to nationalist
struggle that secure independence for the nation Nigeria and other
African countries in the early 60’s.
The
association was formed with the core objectives of encouraging
cooperation and harmonious coexistence among member states
students/youths for the purpose of students exchange programs that will
enhance and transform good leadership potential of our youths in Nigeria
and also ensuring conformity with national ethos and leadership in a
democratic setting in the 21st century through various media such as
organizing leadership conferences, seminars, workshops and campaign
against prostitution, drug abuse, girl child education etc.
